THE CONCEPT
Located amidst the food and shopping heaven of the Bukit Bintang district, ANSA is all about convenience and simplicity.
The hotel is minimalist luxury with modern amenities, comfortable beds and a whole lot of clever space.
THE SETTING
Everything is within walking distance, and our room view was overlooking the grand entrance of the huge Pavilion shopping mall.
Starbucks and a modern restaurant with incredible desserts (Greyhound cafe) are inside the lobby area, and there's a delicious Japanese bakery and famous teashop (Koi The) right outside the hotel's doors.
A money exchange sits here too - right alongside a Hagen Dass gelateria.. a must visit to try the salted caramel ice-cream!
The MTR station is about 10 steps away and guess what... your next-door neighbours are fashion giants Zara and H&M. Need we say more?
THE ROOMS
Basic, minimalistic, fresh and modern. They are comfortable and have everything one needs, including lots of secret storage spaces which we loved!
The above image was the view from our room - the Pavilion is the arguably the best mall in Kuala Lumpur. You really can't get any closer for this amazing price!
Room amenities included in the rooms:
Fast Wifi
Mini Fridge stocked with water
Small Kettle
Iron board and Iron
Safe
International power outlets and many of them. One can never have enough power outlets am I right!?
A huge desk space (depending on room type)
THE ACTIVITIES
Shopping and eating... that's what you came for right!? ANSA is the place to be if you're in need of some shopping therapy with shopping malls to the left and right of the hotel.
The Pavilion shopping mall is the ultimate fashion destination in KL and also an amazing foodies destination.
The mall has a Japanese section where you will feel as though you've landed in Tokyo, there are fine dining restaurants, cafes, dessert cafes, bars, modern eateries and the food court has everything else. There's also a large supermarket for snacks and nibbles on the go.
INSIDER TIPS
ANSA KL offer STARBUCKS ROOM SERVICE - Yes you can have your coffee without leaving the comfort of your bedroom.
You're paying for the location. It's prime and you can't get much closer to the action for this price and comfort level. You're almost sleeping in the shopping mall.
Service is great here - the lift was held for us every time the porter saw us coming, and we were even given a generous 2pm checkout!
Importantly, rooms are soundproofed - we didn't hear a thing at night.
Petronas towers are a 24 minute walk away.
KL tower with it's 360 restaurant is a 27 minute walk or 10 minute car ride away.
GETTING THERE
50-60 minute drive from KUL International airport. We suggest taking Uber for the cheapest and most hassle free way
KLIA Ekspres is a fast, direct train that travels between the airport and KL Sentral. Cost is MYR55 one way, or MYR100 return. It's then a 14 minute taxi ride to the hotel from the train station. If there's two or more of you, Uber or Grab is better value.
Skybus is an AirAsia operated bus which costs MYR10-15 to KL Sentral.
THE PRICE
Executive packages start from MYR285 (67USD).
